Reports & Export

Reports, PDFs, CSV export and statements. 5 answers.

How do I export a PDF report?

Settings → Data & Backup → Reports. Pick one, preview it, then export or share.

The set:
• COMPLETE FINANCIAL REPORT — everything, in order.
• NET WORTH STATEMENT — assets, debts and the number, as of a date.
• INCOME & SPENDING — where it came from and where it went.
• BUDGET PERFORMANCE — plan against actual, category by category.
• INVESTMENT PORTFOLIO — holdings, allocation, cost basis and return.
• BUDGET TO SHARE — the one built to hand to somebody else.
• RETIREMENT READINESS — the plan's own summary.
• TAX PREPARATION PACK — the year's figures for whoever files.
• DEBT & PAYOFF — balances, rates and the payoff order.
• SUBSCRIPTION AUDIT — every recurring charge, what it costs a year, and what has gone up.

How do I send someone my numbers without showing my net worth?

Two ways, and they solve different halves of it.

  • “Budget to Share” is a report built for this — spending and plan, no balances and no net worth.
  • Any other report has a “Hide everything that shows balances” button. Use it. The cover page of a Complete Financial Report prints your net worth in large type otherwise, which is a surprise nobody wants at the accountant's desk.

If what you want is an ongoing view rather than a document, share a summary instead — you tick exactly what it includes and anything switched off is never sent.

Can I export to a spreadsheet or CSV?

Yes — transactions export as CSV, which opens in Numbers, Excel or Google Sheets.

One deliberate detail: any field starting with =, +, - or @ is written so a spreadsheet treats it as text rather than a formula. A merchant called “=SUM” is a merchant name, not something your spreadsheet should run.

Can I print?

On the Mac, ⌘P prints whatever is on screen, and every report can be printed from its preview.

On iPhone and iPad, export the report and print from the share sheet.

Can I export a single account's statement?

Yes — open the account and export an Account Statement for a date range. It is the right thing to hand over when somebody wants one account rather than your whole financial life.
